SRSLY Hosts Family Game Night for ‘Rec It Tuesday’

SRSLY recently hosted a “Rec It Tuesday” game night at Pierce Park on July 9. The event offered 75 youth a night of fun outdoor activities and encouraged active, healthy lifestyle choices within the community.

“We had a fantastic time, as a family, to bond playing games, being outside, connecting and serving our community with SRSLY,” said Chrissy Grzadzinski, a parent and Chelsea resident.  “Our children were able to meet others and just be kids, off of their electronics.”

“Rec It Tuesday” is a free, family-friendly series open to the public and held every Tuesday this summer through August 13.  The goal of the organized night events is to offer activities that foster community engagement and healthy behaviors within the community, especially among young people.

“Rec It Tuesday” is hosted by a group of community partners including the Chelsea Area Friends for Recreation, Chelsea District Library, Chelsea School District Community Education and Recreation Department, City of Chelsea Parks and Recreation Commission, Chelsea Community Center Exploratory Committee, and SRSLY.
